I omitted a couple of things. John Perry and Norman Stoddard also taught Physical Education. Before Jock Roxburgh joined the staff, they did so on a regular and frequent basis. After Jock joined, I believe Perry continued to teach some PE classes. Stoddard would also fill in if Roxburgh was unavailable.
Norman Stoddard was also heavily involved in the Sports activities on Oliver's Mount. He introduced us, quite enthusiastically, to shinty, which was a substitute for rugger for those who were, as Stod put it, "weak in mind and body." (Don't try telling that to an Irishman, though.)
